OUR STORY

SCO was born from a life spent between the coast and the mountains.

Growing up in San Clemente, the ocean was always close. Surfing, fishing, and long days on the water shaped the way we saw the outdoors. From local breaks to fishing trips out of Dana Point and runs toward Catalina, the coast became home.

But the road always led somewhere else.

Loading up for trips along Highway 395, chasing trout through the Sierra Nevada, and exploring the high country from Tahoe and beyond brought another side of the lifestyle into focus.

That connection between saltwater and mountain air became the foundation for Surf & Country Outfitters.

We created SCO for the people who feel at home outside — whether that means an early-morning surf, a day spent chasing fish, or a long drive into the mountains.

Built in small batches and inspired by the places that shaped us, SCO represents the connection between the coast and the high country.

But it stands for more than a name. It represents a mindset — one built around getting outside, taking the long way, and not waiting for the perfect moment.

It’s for the people who leave early, stay late, and say “let’s go” before they know where they’re headed.

The ones who chase new water, new roads, and new experiences to see what’s out there.

No perfect plans. No need for a reason.

Just a desire to explore and see where the day takes you.
